The page that opens your link has no third-party ads, and download speed is unlimited on every plan. On a paid plan the download starts at once; Free and guests see a 10-second pause.

Pick the day and time when a link stops working, up to 10 years ahead, on top of the quick presets from 10 minutes to 7 days.

Recipients open the files on the page but get no download button and no ZIP. While a file sits in a restricted link (view-only, sign-in or address limits), its own public page is closed too. It stops casual saving; it cannot stop someone from photographing the screen.

On a view-only link the recipient's account email, the email you sent the link to, or their IP address and the time are tiled across the preview. It is a deterrent shown on the page, not stamped into the file.

Require sign-in to upload.am, or allow a link only from certain IP addresses, ranges or host names. Combine it with a password or an email code.

On a paid plan a link can give each file an address that downloads it at once, with no download page. Only for links without a password, email lock, sign-in, address limit or view-only mode.

If you send a link to an email address and nothing is downloaded after 1, 3 or 7 days, we remind the recipient. At most twice.

A recipient with an upload.am account can copy the shared files straight into their own storage with one click, without downloading and uploading again.

Turn on a rule in your account that passwords on your links need at least 10 characters with letters and digits.

About 55 executable and script types are rejected on upload, on rename, on remote upload and through the API.

A file named like a picture or document but whose first bytes show a Windows, Linux or macOS program, a script or PHP code is refused, the same as a .exe. The check runs on uploads, remote downloads and every file inside an unpacked archive, and also catches tricks such as a trailing dot or space in the name. It is not an antivirus: it does not look for malware inside documents.

Lock a file with your own password before it leaves your device (AES-256-GCM). We store only unreadable data and cannot recover the password. File names stay visible, and previews and unpacking do not work for encrypted files. Open them with the free decryption tool.
