Why we built a player and a gallery
Most file hosts treat a video as a file like any other: you upload it, they give you a link, and the recipient downloads the whole thing before seeing a single frame. That is slow, it wastes mobile data and it makes a good shoot feel like a chore.
We think media deserves a proper viewer. When you open a photo or a video from your cabinet, it opens in a lightbox right in the page. Click, watch, close. When someone opens your share link, they can preview images, video and audio directly on the page before deciding to download. The goal is simple: make sharing media feel like sharing media, not like moving files.
And because the download page carries no third-party advertising, the viewer is clean. Your content is the only thing on the screen.
The photo and video gallery
The Photos & Video section of your cabinet turns everything you have uploaded into a visual gallery. Instead of a list of file names you see a grid of thumbnails.
- Filter at a glance: show everything, only photos or only video, each with a count.
- Sort the way you think: newest first, or oldest first.
- Video is marked clearly with a play badge, so you can tell it apart from photos in the grid.
- Click any tile to open it in a full-size viewer, without leaving the page.
- Open the public download page from the viewer whenever you want a shareable link.
- On Team plans, switch between your own media and the team’s shared media.
The gallery is built on top of the same online file manager as the rest of your files, so folders, search, trash and versions all work as expected.
The built-in video player
Video opens in a lightbox with the standard controls of your browser’s player: play and pause, scrubbing, volume and full screen. Because it streams, playback starts quickly, even for big files, and you can jump to any moment without waiting for the whole file.
The same viewer is used on your share pages. You can send a client a link to a finished video and they can watch it straight away — then download the original in full quality if they need it. Pair it with a password when the footage is not public yet.
Playback depends on your browser’s native support. Common formats such as MP4 with H.264 video play almost everywhere. If a format is not supported by a browser, the file is still available to download in its original quality.
The music player
Audio gets its own player. When you play a track, a compact bar docks at the bottom of the screen with play and pause, previous and next, a seek bar and volume. It keeps playing as you move around, and it lets you step through all the audio files on the current page, like a playlist.
The player reads the title, artist, album and cover art from the file’s tags, so your tracks look like a real music library instead of a list of file names. Musicians can share demos, podcasters can share episodes and teachers can share recordings with a single link.
Share media the right way
Once your media is in the cabinet, sharing is a few clicks. Choose one file or many and create a link with exactly the controls you need:
- Send a whole shoot as one link for multiple files — recipients can browse, preview and download as a ZIP.
- Keep it private with a password, and limit access with a download limit.
- Let the link end by itself with a self-destructing link.
- Set up a Drop Room when guests should add their own photos, or a Client Portal for a client who gets every new delivery in the same place.
- Bring in existing files from another host with remote upload from a URL, without re-uploading them.
Large files go up in parts, so a dropped connection resumes. On the Free plan, files can be up to 5 GB each; paid plans allow much larger video files, up to hundreds of gigabytes on the highest plan.
Photographers, videographers and musicians
Photographers
Deliver galleries to clients, collect reference photos from them, and keep your work organised in folders.
Videographers
Send drafts for review in a player, not an attachment. Share the final cut with a link and a deadline.
Musicians and podcasters
Share demos and episodes with a player that shows title, artist and cover art.
Families and events
Collect and share photos and clips from a trip, a wedding or a birthday in one room.
